Chris Matthews: I’ve Always Pushed for Sherrod Brown To Be in the Dem Ticket

MATTHEWS: "Just to do a little arguing here, for months I said to the Hillary Clinton campaign, put Sherrod Brown, that tough fighting guy with the rough voice there from Ohio.  A real rust belt Democrat labor type guy. Put him on you're ticket and you're going to do well. Instead, they picked somebody from Virginia. They missed the point, the geography of this campaign was getting somebody from the rust belt. To put that brand of caring for these working people up there in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, those states that never got put on by the Democratic Party. It should have been the party with the brand up there. It should have been Sherrod Brown."
