Todd: In Hindsight, Hillary Clinton’s Decision on Boko Haram ‘Looks Awful’

‘There is a nuanced reason for the decision they made on Boko Haram ... nuance gets lost when there are 300 kidnappings’

Todd: In Hindsight, Clinton’s Decision on Boko Haram Looks Awful (Washington Free Beacon)

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd observed that Hillary Clinton’s decision not to declare Boko Haram, responsible for the horrific kidnapping of over 130 Nigerian girls, a terrorist group, reflects poorly on her.

“Through the lens of Hillary, what did Hillary Clinton do? There is a nuanced reason for the decision they made on Boko Haram, in hindsight it looks awful,” Todd said Monday.

Todd’s strong statement on Clinton echoes thoughts previously expressed by the Daily Beast’s Josh Rogin. Appearing on Fox News Saturday, Rogin said Clinton’s decision further solidifies the idea that she is inattentive to international problems. “It speaks to her claim that she’s at the forefront of protecting women, and girls in conflict. But it also speaks to her handling of international terrorism, which has been called into big question following her handling of the attack in Benghazi,” he said.
