Coons: ‘Foolish’ of Trump to Maintain We Don’t Know What Happened with Russian Hacking

‘I frankly think if he continues with his current actions suggesting that Vladimir Putin is someone we can do business with and ignores his aggressive actions … President-elect Trump will get a lesson in the separation of powers’

COONS: "In August I lead a bipartisan delegation to visit Estonia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic where we heard about sustained efforts by Putin's Russia to undermine elections and democracies all across central and western Europe, to try to divide the United States from our NATO allies. And there are three senators who've just completed a visit there to Estonia and Ukraine and Georgia, and this is Democrat Amy Klobuchar and Republicans Lindsey Graham and John McCain. There are plans for hearing on this issue, there are plans for bipartisan legislation on this issue. I think it would b vary foolish of President-elect Trump to continue to maintain his current line that we don’t know what happened and we shouldn’t take action in response to it. I think that’s just reckless."
