Adam Smith: Kerry Is Right, the Settlements Make a Two State Solution More Difficult

SMITH: "I think it will be very difficult because I think what Secretary Kerry said today is very accurate. Make no mistake about it, Israel is a critical ally that the U.S. will continue to support. We just signed a brand new ten-year agreement to provide them with military assistance in excess of $3 billion a year. We are deeply invested in Israel. We want to protect and defend them and help them in any way we can. But a two-state solution is the only way out of the difficulty that we are having right now in the West Bank. John Kerry is right. The settlements that are being built make that more difficult."
