Pappas: Trump’s Message Not One of Optimism But of Pessimism

‘Donald Trump didn’t sell optimism when he ran for president’

RUSH EXCERPT:

PAPPAS: “The reason is Donald Trump didn’t sell optimism when he ran for president. Look at Barack Obama, hope and change, George W. Bush ran as a compassionate conservative, Donald Trump ran with make America great again but what is he implying? America is broken and needs someone to fix it. His message was not a message of optimism but pessimism. Yesterday you had a lot of Hillary Clinton supporters holding out hope that miraculously something would happen in the electoral college. Obviously it didn’t, that was overblown. I think a lot of people haven’t accepted the fact, Democrats being, that Donald Trump is going to be the next president. If those numbers change, they realize how Donald Trump will get inaugurated.”
