Eugene Robinson on Trump’s Admin Picks: ‘This Isn’t a Working Class Cabinet’

‘Donald Trump is Donald Trump’

ROBINSON: “Well, what more says, you know, 'man of the people', than the CEO of ExxonMobil? Just look at the cabinet and the way it’s shaping up, and the sort of core beliefs of the cabinet members. And I’m not seeing a lot of populism there. Now, Donald Trump is Donald Trump. He is, you know, I don’t think for a minute that he intends to be led by the nose by anything like a cabinet or anything like that, but I do think this obviously reflects a mindset, and to a certain extent it reflects his intentions. So we’ll see, obviously, what happens. Let’s get him in office first, but this is not — you know, this isn’t a working-class cabinet.”
