Tanden: Trump’s ‘Looking at the Presidency as an Opportunity to Make a Buck’

‘Donald Trump told the American people that he was going to work for them’

TANDEN: "I think Donald Trump told the American people that he was going to work for them, and he’s looking at the presidency as an opportunity to make a buck, and that’s outrageous. It’s not just a personal outrage. It was actually a part of the Constitution. I think a lot of people are raising fundamental concerns about whether this is an Emoluments Clause conflicts of interest constitutional violation. That conversation is going to keep going. A lot of people are worried about it, and I expect that at some point there will be litigation on issues like this."
