MSNBC: FBI Re-Opening Investigation into Clinton’s Use of a Private Email Server

The FBI will re-open its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, bureau director James Comey said in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday

HUNT: "I just got off the phone with the spokesman for the Senate judiciary Republicans which who's sent this out to us. And they say that this has been released basically without warning. They didn't know this was coming. The committee didn't ask additional questions about Hillary Clinton's e-mail server. But James Comey sent a letter pretty widely on Capitol Hill essentially saying that through another investigation they found e-mails that are pertinent to the investigation of Hillary Clinton's server. So I'm just going to read you a piece of this e-mail --"
JACKSON: "OK."
HUNT: "-- that says, 'In previous congressional testimony, I' -- and this is James Comey, the director of the FBI writing, 'I referred to the fact that the FBI has completed its investigation of former Secretary Clinton's personal e-mail server. Due to recent developments I'm writing to supplement my previous testimony.' So, this is in addition to the testimony he already gave to Capitol Hill. He says, 'In connection with an unrelated case the FBI has learned of existence of e-mails that appear to be pertinent and I'm writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday and I agreed the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review the e-mails to determine whether they include classified information.'"
