Obamacare Website Suffers Outages on Last Day of Enrollment (TIME)

The Obama administration’s website for the Affordable Care Act, Healthcare.gov, suffered repeated outages and glitches Monday as consumers rushed to enroll on the last day of signups for private health insurance under the law.

Users attempting to sign up in certain states early Monday were met with a maintenance message and urged to try again later, or redirected to a “virtual waiting room” designed to ease strain on the website. But officials said later on Monday that the government website would not accept new applications because of a technical glitch, though users who already had accounts were able to access them.
