Scott Walker: My Lines in Debate Prep with Pence Weren’t as Canned as Kaine’s Were Last Night

‘America saw last night that Donald Trump pick someone who is prepared to be the president in the worst case scenario’

WALKER: "When I played Tim Kaine for about the last month getting together on the weekends with -- with my good friend Mike Pence, I think my lines weren't even as canned as his were last night. I -- I took all the language that I heard Tim Kaine say for months, in some cases even years. He repeated almost word for word exactly the things that I said during debate prep again last night, which shows clearly, they have -- they have an intense pattern, they must have tested it. They've done focus groups. They think somehow that these canned attacks are going to work. I think instead Americans saw Mike Pence and probably not just saw how important and well Mike Pence did last night, but how the most important decision a presidential candidate can make is who is going to be their second in command. America saw last night that Donald Trump picked someone who is prepared to be the president if, in the worst case scenario, but who is also prepared to be a partner with the president to actually get things done."
