Former President Bill Clinton was interrupted by a protester on Tuesday over the 1994 crime bill he signed into law while campaigning for his wife at Ohio University.

Clinton responded to the protestor by pointing out that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) had voted for his 1994 crime bill.

“I will not vote for a candidate that has sent millions of my people to prison,” the protestor shouted.

The crowd tried to drown out the protester by chanting Hillary Clinton’s name, but the former president quieted down the crowd and responded to the protester’s claim.
