Anyone who doesn't agree with the global warming theory must be banned from ever holding elected office, Leonardo DiCaprio argued at a White House meeting with President Obama Monday.

DiCaprio attended the South by South Lawn event -- which the White House organized to discuss how "America's spirit of innovation" can tackle issues like global warming -- to premiere his new documentary film, "Before the Flood."

"If you do not believe in climate change you do not believe in science or facts or empirical truths and in my opinion should not be allowed to hold public office," the actor said in a unsubtle dig at Donald Trump, drawing applause from the crowd.

"The scientific consensus is in and the argument is now over," he declared.

“Climate change is real. It is happening right now,” he said. “It’s the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.”
