Welker: Talking About Clinton’s Email One Month Before Election Shows How Big a Problem Trust Is

‘We are still talking about her e-mails a month before election day shows how much of a problem and a staying problem this has been for her’

WELKER: "What was fascinating about that moment is that it felt like the response that I think his campaign and a lot of supporters wanted him to give during that first debate when he and Secretary Clinton were asked about cyber security. He attacked Secretary Clinton on this. He said she has threatened our national security by using her private e-mail server. When I talked to voters, particularly those young voters who are saying 'We are giving third party candidates a real look,' it goes to this issue of trust. Can they trust her? The fact that we are still talking about her e-mails just about a month before election day shows how much of a problem and a staying problem this has been for her in terms of her ability to rebuild trust with voters."
