Clinton Strategist Dodges on Hillary’s Leaked Audio, Trust Issues

‘We are not yet right we need to be but we’re within striking distance where President Obama was in his re-election in 2012’

BENENSON: "You know, I've got to reset the context of your question. I've been asked this for two weeks and everybody is focused on Millennials as we are. We're not yet right where we need to be but we're within striking distance of where President Obama was in his reelection in 2012. Do we have a few more points we want to get out of our millennial votes? Of course, we do. And the way we'll do that is by continuing to talk about the economic progress we need to make in America, building an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. Hillary Clinton is going to address this in Ohio today, talking about patriotic businesses, getting business to understand that strong growth in America also means fair growth. It means growth where we do raise incomes for people. Where women have equal pay. Where companies are sharing profits with the workers that helped contribute to those profits and not just giving massive bonuses to CEOs and dividends to shareholders. Workers need to republicap the benefits. There's only one candidate in this race who has a plan to actually reduce the cost of college, let those who are struggling with college debt that's keeping them back right now refinance their debt. Donald Trump doesn't support any of that. This is a guy who continually calls himself the king of debt, negotiating constantly for his own debt, no plan to help these young Americans who are trying to get ahead, refinance their debt so they can maybe buy a home, maybe, you know, get ahead a little faster."
