O’Malley: Trump Cannot Overcome His Past Racist Remarks

‘These are not things you overcome after your introduction to the American people was based on those sorts of appeals’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

O'MALLEY: "Well, I think the thing Secretary Clinton has going in her favor, of course, is she has been in the public eye for 30 years. She doesn't have to say she's comfortable walking into a crowd of white people or black people or Latino or any sort of diverse crowd. I mean, she's done it her entire life. Donald Trump's the one that has a tremendous burden there that I don't think his own tongue and his own words will ever allow him to overcome. The racist things she said, the anti-immigrant things he said, the disparaging remarks about people's religions, these aren't things you overcome after your introduction to the American people was based on those sorts of appeals to your most extreme reactionaries and fearful people in your own party."
