CBS: Ukraine Preparing For Russian Invasion (Washington Free Beacon)

Now that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an executive order annexing the Crimean peninsula to the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian government is preparing its defenses in anticipation of a Russian invasion, CBS reports.

Andriy Prubiy, Ukraine’s National Security Chief, said that in the coming days and weeks over 20,000 volunteers would be combat ready. CBS notes that Ukrainian officials are also worried that many Russian supporters in eastern Ukraine will join with Russian forces should the threat of invasion become reality.
