NBC to Kaine: Didn’t Trump Come Out on Top With Mexican Visit While Clinton Was ‘Scooping Up Money?’ (The Washington Free Beacon)

NBC’s Savannah Guthrie asked Democratic vice-presidential pick Sen. Tim Kaine (D., Va.) Thursday whether Donald Trump came out on top in the past week after meeting the Mexican president while Hillary Clinton spent much of the week “scooping up money in the Hamptons.”

Clinton just came off a celebrity-stuffed fundraising swing on the East and West coasts where she collected more than $30 million.

“If you look at the side-by-side of this week, Donald Trump went to Mexico,” Guthrie said. “He sat down. He had a dignified meeting with a foreign leader. Hillary Clinton has spent most of this week scooping up money in the Hamptons for fundraisers. Doesn’t Trump come out on top on that?”
