Pres. Nieto: Border Between Mexico and U.S. Must ‘Transform Itself as an Asset’

"With yards to border issues, I have a very clear vision. The border must transform itself as an asset for our region. We have had great events in the last few years, working very closely with the Obama Administration. And with the next administration, we must accelerate this effort so that the Mexican and United States border is more efficient and safe. However, a large number of U.S. Citizens chase the border as a real problem. Illegal drugs cross the border to the U.S. Undocumented immigration from Mexico to the U.S. Had it’s highest point ten years ago and it has slowed down consistently, even to the point of being negative in a net effect at this point."
