White House Admits They Have No Solution for High Homicide Rate in Chicago

‘The president is deeply concerned about this situation’

EARNEST: "Well, I’m not aware of any specific prescription that the President is prepared to put forward to address the situation just in Chicago. I know Mayor Emanuel is quite focused on that. And I certainly would have a lot of confidence in his ability to work through some of these issues and see if there are some specific local solutions that can be implemented. I’m confident that there are officials at the Department of Justice that have an expertise in this area that would be eager to lend that expertise, maybe even lend some resources to the city of Chicago and other communities that are experiencing a spate of violence like this. But look, the President is deeply concerned about this situation."
