Andre Bauer: Both Parties Have Forgotten the African American Community

BAUER: "Well, first let’s say that both parties have left the African-American community, quite frankly. They’ve been taking for granted for far too long. It’s been a hand — a hand in the wrong direction. There were so many opportunities that help people lift themselves up, they’ve been missed. And so I’m glad t Republican Party and Donald Trump under his leadership is now doing something about it. We can criticize him all we want but he is making an effort and I am glad he is making an effort. Democratic Party ought to reach out and do a better effort as well. I’m not criticizing — I’m not — I’m trying to tell you that for once I’m happy that somebody is doing something positive. And so it’s easy to get caught up and beat (ph) him (ph) down I wouldn’t — he’s not doing it the way I would do it possibly."
