George Will: Having an Obama Donor Investigate the IRS Scandal Is 'Kind Of A Sham'

'Before the thing starts, he says, oh, by the way, I already know the outcome'

George Will: Obama Donor Investigating IRS Scandal ‘Kind Of A Sham’ (NewsBusters)

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, conservative columnist George Will had some harsh words for the Obama Administration’s handling of the IRS scandal.

In response to a question from host Chris Wallace about how little is known about the IRS scandal, Will observed that Obama’s “appointed an employee of his who is also a donor of his to investigate him and before the thing starts he says, oh, by the way, I already know the outcome there isn't a smidgeon of a scandal involved here. So that's kind of a sham.”

Will continued his condemnation of the Obama Administration by arguing that the investigation has taken so long “when they are stonewalling and people taking Fifth Amendment… The fact is Lois Lerner has the perfect right to take the Fifth Amendment to avoid self-incrimination and the rest of us have a perfect right to draw rational inferences for what she's done.”

While the rest of the media would rather fixate on a “dustup between the chairman and the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee” Will beautifully pointed out the “sham” of an investigation being conducted by an Obama donor, a key detail, along with the entire IRS scandal, that the media continues to ignore.
