Manafort: ‘Nobody Is Acknowledging’ the ‘Respect’ Trump Has Shown the Khans

‘What he has said is that he respects and he sympathizes with the sacrifices that family has made’

Paul Manafort whines that ‘nobody is acknowledging’ the ‘respect’ Trump has shown the Khans (Raw Story)

It looks like the Trump campaign will just not let the story of Trump’s feud with the Khan family fade away.

Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort told George Stephanopoulos that his candidate hasn’t gotten the credit he deserves for praising the sacrifice not only of late Army Capt. Humayun Khan, but also of his parents Khizr and Ghazala Khan.

“I think Mr. Trump has paid his respect, it’s just that nobody is acknowledging it,” Manafort said after being asked whether Trump should apologize to the Khan family. “What he has said is that he respects and he sympathizes with the sacrifices that family has made. And he’s talking about the son and he’s talking about the family.”
