JACKSON: "I’ve been told by one top Republican there are rumors now of discussions about what happens if Trump drops out. The thing is, this is very risky at this point because this plays into exactly the narrative that Donald Trump has been trying to construct, that the system is rigged, the election is rigged. It is what he has tapped into for over a year now, the dissatisfaction that the big guys in Washington are trying to pull the strings. It feeds into that narrative. All this contingent apparently on whether Trump actually drops out. And there is absolutely no sign that is going to happen. Trump, I believe, can taste the possibility of victory come November. And I just don’t believe he’s going to let that go."
