Web Montage: Rep. Alan Grayson’s History of Violent Rhetoric

Fighting Words (Washington Free Beacon)

Rep. Alan Grayson (D., Fla.) has made a name for himself with his incendiary language directed at Republicans, comparing the Tea Party to the Ku Klux Klan to raise money, calling Dick Cheney a vampire and making other remarks truly befitting a U.S. congressman.

From his interviews with friendly pundits on MSNBC to his House floor screeds, Grayson’s comments are often over-the-top and vicious.

The violent rhetoric has allegedly met his behavior, with recent accusations by his soon-to-be ex-wife Lolita Grayson of physical abuse. She received a temporary protective injunction Monday after she claimed he shoved her hard against a door, and she said in the complaint that he has a history of battering her and their two minor children.

Grayson, a longtime practitioner of accusing Republicans of waging a “War on Women”, denied the charges.
