Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, Brian Fallon, is acknowledging that his candidate's statements about her e-mail server contradict the testimony from FBI Director James Comey.

"I think there’s no question that in reaction to the press conference that Director Comey held a week ago today that some questions were raised," Fallon said during an interview on CNN. "There seems to be apparent contradictions between what director Comey laid out on Tuesday and what Secretary Clinton has long said."

Fallon, however, said that Comey's testimony -- unlike his initial press conference -- also provided ballast for Clinton's statements.

"It was only on Thursday that he said that indeed, the matter of her e-mail setup was a matter of convenience for her," Fallon said. "That’s why she set it up. It was only on Thursday that he said there was no evidence that he made any untruthful statements to the FBI. On issue after issue that critics keep trying to harp on, Director Comey said some very helpful things. I think the public is still absorbing that.”
