Mellody Hobson: Brexit Voters Didn’t Understand What It Meant to Leave the EU

Mellody Hobson, wife of George Lucas and president of Ariel Investments, said Monday that British voters "really didn't understand what they were voting for" in electing to withdraw from the European Union. 

Hobson appeared on "CBS This Morning." Here's a rush transcript:

HOBSON: "I think it's a sense that people really didn't understand what they were voting for, what the E.U. really means. It's not just about open borders and free immigration, it's about trade policy. You know, there's a lot wrapped up into this -- this state, this group of states. You can call it the united states of Europe that came into being after World War II. And people really didn't understand what it means to undo this."
