Haass on Brexit Vote: ‘The U.K. Will Suffer Economically’

‘It will become more parochial’

HAASS: "Well, the U.K. will suffer economically. It will be small. It will become more parochial. I also worry very much that the U.K. will not remain the United Kingdom for long. Already we’ve seen the leadership in Scotland and in Northern Ireland call for referenda. And I think in this case the argument that we want -- we prefer to stay in Europe more than we prefer to say in Britain is likely to prevail."
