Chuck Todd Tells Amy Klobuchar She Sounds Like a Republican on ISIS (The Washington Free Beacon)

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.) was quick to play down similarities between herself and Republican colleagues on Thursday after she said the United States should do more to defeat the Islamic State terrorist group.

Klobuchar laid out how she thinks ISIS should be handled during an interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd. The two discussed how the United States should respond to Sunday’s ISIS-inspired terrorist attack in Florida, which killed 49.

“Do you believe enough is being done to destroy ISIS?” Todd asked.

“Well, I would have done some things earlier,” Klobuchar said. “I support the no-fly zone and did back there to try to help the Syrian people and try to help the groups — the more moderate elements and forces there, so I would have done some things differently.”
