Clinton: ‘I Have Gone Toe to Toe with the Chinese on Numerous Occasions’

CLINTON: "I have a positive agenda to create jobs and I’ve said very clearly, I will not support any trade agreement that I don’t think creates more good jobs with rising incomes. That’s why I’m against the Transpacific Partnership. It’s why I voted against the only multilateral trade agreement that came before me when I was in the Senate. I think that he can say whatever he wants to say and he will, of course. But I have a track record of really helping people and standing up against China. I have gone toe to toe with the Chinese on numerous occasions so I feel very comfortable doing that. So I have a record and I have a record that is very clearly on the side of working people and making sure that, you know, we get more good jobs with rising incomes. That’s at the center of any economic policy."
