Bill Clinton boasted Monday that Hillary Clinton "ate Republicans' lunch" on "that Benghazi thing" in which four Americans died, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens.

Clinton described Republican-led investigations into the Benghazi attack as a political witch hunt.

“They did what they have learned through long experience with political press and long experience in psychology wars," Clinton said during a campaign rally. "They had seven committees looking into that Benghazi thing. First six were honest committees chaired by the Republicans. They came up with the same thing. They said, look, yeah, there need to be some changes made but she is not responsible.”

"We know there is now a special committee," Clinton continued. "Which questioned her for 11 hours. And if I could be colloquial. I think she ate their lunch, because it was obvious that they were so political. They were so political."
