Andrew Cuomo: Minimum Wage Hikes Stimulate the Economy

CUOMO: "Yeah, look, I don’t think there’s anybody who will disagree with the fact that when you raise the minimum wage, you can actually stimulate the economy. We’ve raised the minimum wage eight times in this state. Six of the eight times the economy actually increased. The question is how you do it. How quickly are you calibrating it, are you monitoring it like our system in New York does. We have different periods of time in different parts of the state and then we have the ability to slow it down if we think it’s actually slowing the economy."
