"Securing our systems and taxpayer data continues to be a top priority for the IRS. Even with our constrained resources, we devote significant time and attention to this challenge. We work to protect our main computer systems from cyberattacks and to safeguard taxpayer information stored in our databases. The systems withstand more than 1 million malicious attempts to access them each day. We're also continuing to battle a growing problem of stolen identity refund fraud."
