"Part of the appeal, has to do with fear of the other. And that’s what Trump tuned into right away, with Mexican rapists, with the idea that Muslims have to be given special treatment, that Muslims should not be allowed into the country. I think this is exploiting fear. I don’t think that these are as huge a problem as Trump has made them out to be. This is, you’re right, this is a resentment felt…but it’s been amplified by a candidate who knows how to exploit that."
