Angelina Jolie Calls on Western Governments to Accept More Syrian Refugees

JOLIE: “We cannot manage the world through aid relief in the place of diplomacy and the diplomatic solutions. We cannot discuss this as if it were a problem confined to the situations of tenths of thousandths of refugees in Europe. The greatest pressure is still being felt in the Middle East and North Africa as it has for the each of the last five years. There are 4.8 Syrian refugees in this region and 6.5 million displaced inside Syria. So my plea today is that we need governments around the world to show leadership to analyze the situation, to understand exactly what their countries can do.”
