President Barack Obama's push to provide classrooms with high-speed Internet connections will get a boost Tuesday with the announcement of public and private funds that will give more students access to educational technology and the next generation of broadband and wireless networks.

A middle school in Maryland will serve as the backdrop for the president's progress report on his ConnectED initiative. There, Mr. Obama will detail $750 million in commitments from the private sector.
