Scarborough: GOP Race Is Not Over But It’s ‘Pretty Damn Close’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

HEILEMANN: “Just look at them. You can’t say this enough. His victory was huge and the goal if you have to focus on this, how do you keep — the game now is not macro Rubio getting the magic number. He’s not going to get there. We can say that now. Ted Cruz unlikely to get a majority of delegates. The question is now can the party in one way or the other keep trump from getting to 1237, whatever that number is. Look at the delegate totals. Trump had a big night. Put those up please so we can see them again.”
SCARBOROUGH: “Look at Heilemann!” (Laughter) [crosstalk] Look at me and we’ll talk about it.”
HEILEMANN: “It was only 20 delegates short of Trump’s number.”
SCARBOROUGH: “I understand. And you’re right. It comes down to Ohio and Florida.”
HEILEMANN: “And all that matters is the delegate count.”
SCARBOROUGH: “I don’t know if you guys have to keep the drama up for your show — but this thing, I’m not saying it’s over but it’s pretty damn close on both sides.”
