PELOSI: ObamaCare Played No Role in Democrats Losing House

The house minority leader says voters were only angry about escalating unemployment

Appearing Sunday on Meet the Press, House Minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, said she doesn’t buy the argument that Democrats lost the House in 2010 because of ObamaCare:

DAVID GREGORY (host): “You’re confident given the heavy toll that the health care fight exacted on the president, and on the party, and on the loss of control of control of the House, that Democrats in the House and the Senate running in tight re-election campaigns are going to embrace health care and campaign on it.”
PELOSI: “I don't buy the argument that you make that we lost the election (2010) because of health care. We lost the election because of 9.5% unemployment. It would have been 15% had Congress and President Obama, under his leadership, [not] passed the Recovery Act, auto rescue and other initiatives. But if you don't have a job, you don't want to hear, 'it could be worse.’”
