Trump Spox: We’re Not Running to Please the President or Past President of Mexico

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

BARTIROMO: “What about this Mexico story. Today another former president of Mexico speaks out against Donald Trump, Felipe Calderon. Now he is accusing your campaign of being racist. How do you respond to that?”
PIERSON: “We are out here to make America great again. Securing is not racism. It’s the job of the federal government. We don’t pay any attention to that.”
BARTIROMO: “I was talking to former president of Mexico, Vicente Fox and he surprised us all with his language about it. Listen to this. I want to get your reaction.”

FOX: “I am not going to pay for that [beep] wall. I am not. And he should know that. And I’m not going to apologize.”

BARTIROMO: “Not going to pay for it. How will it be paid for?”
PIERSON: “I think wall just got ten feet higher as Mr. Trump will say but the wall has been appropriated for. This is another thing. Every single penny the government gives to states and cities has strings attached to it. We have to put strings the attach we put foreign governments including Mexico. We give them hundreds of millions of dollars per year.”
BARTIROMO: “That is why the whole conversation has helped Trump. Because people are angry about this.”
