Maher on Obama’s SOTU: I’m ‘Disappointed He Didn’t Give a Shout-Out to Pot’

‘So, we’ve gone from “hope and change” to “puff, puff, pass”?’

Bill Maher Shares His Biggest SOTU Disappointment with Jay Leno (Mediaite)

Before he gives his full reaction to the State of the Union on this week’s Real Time on HBO, Bill Maher sat down for the last time with Jay Leno and shared a few of his thoughts. While he “can’t help liking” President Barack Obama, Maher was a “little disappointed he didn’t give a shout-out to pot.”

After Obama told the New Yorker’s David Remnick that he thought marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol, Maher thought that sentiment may have found its way into the State of the Union address.

“So we’ve gone from ‘hope and change’ to ‘puff puff pass’”? Leno joked.
