Seitz-Wald: Clinton Camp ‘Really Downplaying Expectations’ in Nevada

‘It’s definitely not the sign of a campaign that feels like they want to stick around and give a victory speech for sure’

KORNACKI: “... in 2008 it was the only one that Hillary Clinton won and yet we learned last night that she is probably not going to be in Nevada on Saturday when those results are announced, she will already be on her way to Texas. Is that a sign of the Clinton campaign bracing for bad news?”
SEITZ-WALD: “Steve, it's definitely not the sign of a campaign that feels like they want to stick around and give a victory speech for sure. It's something that Clinton has not been able to do yet. She had that squeaker of a victory in Iowa but she got on a plane and left for New Hampshire, kind of similarly to what she's doing here. In New Hampshire she was blown out there. So she's going to move right on to South Carolina, Texas, March 1st states where she think she has a stronger win. That fits with everybody the campaign has been saying publicly and privately. They're really downplaying expectations here.”
