‘I actually would like to get it down to one, me’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

ROSE: “The Republican Party is bent on stopping you, even governor bush said this morning on this program it would be disastrous if you were the nominee.”
TRUMP: “Jeb is a person, he doesn’t have it. He spent $38 million.”

TRUMP: “Yeah. Yeah. I do.”
ROSE: “The Republican Party establishment worries about you. They want to stop you.”
TRUMP: “Charlie, I can tell you that I’m getting so many calls from members of the establishment, people in the Republican Party that were against me and want to join the team right now.”
ROSE: “Including Chris Christie. He called you.”
TRUMP: “He didn’t call to say —“
ROSE: “He called. What did he say?”
TRUMP: “He did a good job in the debate and is a friend of mine. He congratulated me and said it is unbelievable what you have done. The numbers were fantastic.”
ROSE: “Is he going to drop out?”
TRUMP: “I don’t know. We talked about it a little bit.”
O’DONNELL: “Do you think it is time for him to drop out.”
TRUMP: “I’d like to see a lot of people drop out. I’d like to get it in to one.”
KING: “Do you think that Chris Christie should drop out?”
TRUMP: “I don’t want to get in to that. He is a friend of mine and I thought he was effective. I was surprised he didn’t do better frankly.”
