Joni Ernst: I Want to Know More About National Security from Trump

HALPERIN: “Senator, who do you plan to caucus for?”
ERNST: “I am not going to state, that will be private.”
HALPERIN: “Did you ask other people and expect [indecipherable]?” (Laughter)
ERNST: Yes, I have a lot of favorites in this race, of course, I have a number of colleagues —“
ALPERIN: “Do you already know who you are going to caucus for?”
ERNST: “I know who I will be supporting but, you know, even amongst my family we’re split all over the place.”
HALPERIN: “Which of Donald Trump’s policy proposals do you find interesting?”
ERNST: “Well, that’s a good question because I haven’t seen policy behind the candidate that I would like to see. You know, he has tax proposal out there, he had — but things that are important to Iowans, they want to know about economy, they want to know about national security. I want to know more about national security and I haven’t heard specifics here.”
