MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt: Socialism Attacks on Sanders ‘Risky’ for Clinton

‘It shows you that they are concerned about him’

HUNT: “McCaskill also talk to me a little bit about swing states, her own Missouri — places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana warning that Bernie Sanders wouldn’t be ail to win those as a self-declared socialist. So, Jose this is something that risks alienating some of Bernie Sanders’ supporters and potentially, you know, pits her against the liberal base of her party in  some ways. So, it’s risky for her to take this tack, but i think it shows you that they are concerned about him. I think the other thing to watch for today on the Democratic side is foreign policy. We saw Hillary Clinton going after Bernie Sanders on foreign policy a little bit, in an interview that she did with NPR, a statement from the Sanders campaign, a coming out and talking about the fact that he voted against the war in Iraq. So that issue, of course resurfacing in this Democratic primary. Bernie Sanders also out with a new ad today featuring Simon and Garfunkel, that song you probably know they’ve all come to look for America, squarely in his demographic, Jose.”
DÍAZ-BALART: “Kasie Hunt and Steve Kornacki, thank you both very much. It’s good to see you.”
