BARNICLE: “He’s a Canadiens fan, Montreal Canadiens.”
SCARBOROUGH: “I love Canada. [crosstalk] We were talking to Donald, Mika and he said he hopes it’s okay. He’s worried about the party.”
WALLACE: “This feels like fake news like we’re reading from the onion.”
SCARBOROUGH: “Okay. I’m sorry. You’ve got to front runner of the Republican party, the Republican senator concerned about this.”
BRZEZINSKI: “Stop smiling, Joe.”
SCARBOROUGH: “You’re laughing about it.”
BRZEZINSKI: “I think it’s —“
GEIST: “Do you believe it’s a problem?”
SCARBOROUGH: “I believe.”
WALLACE: “Straight face.”
SCARBOROUGH: “I believe that if I were a voter in Iowa right now hearing a lot of these comments, I would have questions. I would want legal scholars to come and, that’s what Ted Cruz needs to do. This is going to have an impact in Iowa. He needs to get a list of respected conservative legal scholars saying this isn’t a problem, this isn’t a problem, this isn’t a problem. After that, it’s fine. If people in Iowa want to elect a foreigner, they can elect a foreigner.”
BRZEZINSKI: “You can listen to that for a long time and assume what everyone has done.”
