Christie: Voters Don’t Care About the ‘Petty Arguments’ Between Donald and Hillary

KILEMADE: “They tried to walk that back. But meanwhile, after the democratic debate, which intentionally no one saw on a Thursday night when everyone had other plans in the middle of the holiday season, it turns out afterwards Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are stealing the headlines. They’re going at each other, demanding each other apologize. Earlier on Fox & Friends Donald Trump said this about the entire incident.

TRUMP: “Well, she lied and she got caught very much in a lie and one of her people went on and said there is no video. She said I was in a video. It’s a lie. She lies so much whether it’s her trips where she’s going to be shot down, and it turns out that didn’t happened. And, you know, Whitewater was a total lie. There were so many, I mean so many lies. Terrible. And you know, you look at the job she did. She had very little credibility, because of that. But all of a sudden I said wow I’m on a video, that’s terrible. I heard I was on a video. She’s the one that told everybody. There is no video at all and now that’s been confirmed. I would say she should apologize. But she probably won’t.”

KILEMADE: “While we wait for that apology to not happen a lot of people are saying look how does a Chris Christie or the others in the field get some oxygen when they are taking it all up?
CHRISTIE: “Because we're talking about things people really care about, Brian, and not the petty arguments back and forth between two people in this race. Do you think anybody really cares whether Hillary Clinton apologizes to Donald trump? Or Donald Trump apologizes to Hillary Clinton? They need to stop being so self-consumed, and start talking about what people really want to hear, which is how we're going to keep the homeland safe and protected. And that's not any of the discussion is about. When I’m at that town hall meeting and I’ve done four in the last three days here, no one has asked me do I think Hillary Clinton should apologize or do I think Donald trump should apologize. Real voters don't care. This is what consumes the people on Sixth Avenue in New York City. But it doesn't consume people around the country.”
