MSNBC: Trump Has Higher Support Among Educated Voters in Online Polls

Scarborough: ‘They don’t want to admit it’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

SCARBOROUGH: "This is fascinating. The polling, Kyle. Kyle, you were just telling me. Will people be embarrassed they’re voting for Donald Trump and actually more people would and you say there’s an argument for that."
DROPP: "Thanks for having me. Yeah, we ran a study with about 2,500 Republicans last week. We seen all the variation in the polls and Trump doing almost 20 points better in some cases online and on the phone. All based on interviews of who they’re talking to or how they’re being interviewed live or online. We talked to 2,500 Republicans and varied how they answered the questions and found trump does about six points better."
SCARBOROUGH: "Six points better online because there are some people that don’t want to admit to a live human being on the other side they’re voting for Donald Trump. Fascinating enough, you did find a Bradley effect with Ben Carson where he did better in live interviews than he did in the privacy of on line polling."
DROPP: "When we looked at the polls the last couple of months and Carson was ahead a few points."
SCARBOROUGH: "This is the biggest difference for online for trump. Not much of a change for the other candidates. The other two main findings we had here is the deference in the trump support was driven highly with people with higher levels of education."
DROPP: "They don’t want to admit."
SCARBOROUGH: "They don’t want to admit it."
DROPP: "When you’re typing on the computer you’re more willing to say so. Tim figured out by the end you take Obama’s numbers in exit polls and subtract by eight and that’s where the night ends up. What’s so fascinating to trump is they may be embarrassed they’re voting for trump. We’re seeing online it pops out."
