Rubio: Obama ‘Is Worse Today’ than He Was Seven Years Ago

‘Obama hasn’t failed because he’s one term senator’

MACCALLUM: "You heard Chris Christie. He said that the back and forth between the two of you made his eyes glaze over, and that it takes a governor to have that kind of leadership; that he has more experience; that people who are in that position are better -- you know, basically that America has been dealing with someone who was a one-term senator and many of them, his critics, feel it hasn't worked out so well."
RUBIO: "Well, first Barack Obama hasn't failed because he is a one-term the senator. He now has seven years of presidential experience and he s still making mistakes. He's worse today then he was when he got there. The second point I'd make is that's a cute line by Chris Christie, but this is an important and complex issue and we need to have an in-depth debate about our intelligence programs, about our defense capabilities. Again, all this tough talk -- Ted stood up there and said I'm going to utterly destroy ISIS. Anyone can say that. What do you going to do with it? And when you support a budget like he does that dramatically cuts defense spending, when you vote against any defense authorization bill ever presented for you how can you argue --- the bill that pays for the military, that funds our troops and the Iron Dome -- how can you say I'm going to utterly destroy ISIS but I'm not going to fund what it will take to utterly destroy ISIS. So these are important differences and I thought that was important last night to talk about in the debate"
