Stoddard: Obama’s ‘Distant, Tone-Deaf Reaction Has Really Upset Dems’

‘They’re asking him not only to come out and say what he’s doing and why it’s going to work or come up with something new, but he really has to address the anxiety in the country’

STODDARD: "What Charles was talking about, his reaction overseas after Paris, seeming more angry at Republicans than he was at ISIS. This kind of distant, tone-deaf reaction has really upset Democrats as much as it’s angered his critics. They’re asking him not only to come out and say what he’s doing and why it’s going to work or come up with something new, but he really has to address the anxiety in the country. When you hear the words there’s no credible threat, that doesn’t matter anymore. These people are undetectable. They’re like stealth school shooters. I think tonight the pressure is going to be on him to not be too defensive as he defends what he’s done. He’s going to stay there’s been progress against the caliphate. What about San Bernardino and the suburbs of the U.S.? He’s going to have to be able to come up with next steps. People believe the current strategy doesn’t work."
