‘We have prison camps here in America, too’

Dennis Rodman Sticks by Kim Jong-un: ‘He’s My F*cking Friend, I Love Him’ (Mediaite)

Even if Kim Jong-un didn’t have his own uncle executed by siccing a pack a wild dogs on him as had been previously reported, he still had his own uncle executed. But that fact, along with the North Korean dictator’s many other atrocities, has not stopped former NBA player Dennis Rodman from traveling to that country yet again to visit his good friend.

Sky News caught up with Rodman in the Beijing Airport before he departed for Pyongyang with a group of 11 American basketball players, who plan to entertain Kim Jong-un for his birthday Wednesday. Asked why he refuses to bring up prison camps and other human rights issues with the leader, Rodman said, “That’s not my job,” even though he has been the only American with direct access to the leader.

“That’s not the right thing to do,” Rodman said. “He’s my friend first. He’s my friend. I don’t give a shit. I tell the world: he’s my fucking friend, I love him.”
