Rand Paul on Debate Deal: ‘Recipe for Disaster,’ Vows Filibuster

‘We don’t have a strong country if we keep borrowing’

'Recipe for Disaster': Paul Vows to Filibuster GOP Spending Deal With Obama (Fox News Insider)

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) called the new bipartisan budget deal a "recipe for disaster," vowing to filibuster the spending bill on the Senate floor.

Paul said this deal gives President Obama "unlimited borrowing power" until he leaves office. Paul said Republicans got what they wanted with more military spending, while the left is getting increased "domestic welfare."

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) argued that the bill is not perfect, but still a "good deal" for the military and for taxpayers. The agreement avoids another showdown between the White House and Republicans on the debt ceiling.
